| "In these works by Samm Cohen,
it is an exploration of worlds within worlds that the viewer is likely
to first respond to. The inner mind is brought to the surface, exposed
as if a subject for dissection. This is a very raw quality present in
some quite refined aspects of these works. The images are as a Pandora's
Box, spewing fragments of consciousness into the viewers' periphery,
and perhaps even into the artist's lap."

CALADAN GALLERY "ECLIPSE: THE HIDDEN LIGHT" FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRESS CONTACT: Marjorie Kaye @Caladan Gallery (978) 741-7979 CALADAN GALLERY is pleased to announce a juried exhibition entitled
"Eclipse: The Hidden Light". This exhibition is comprised
of 35 artists, both national and international. There is a gentle conception
that light exists where only darkness can be seen. In the midst of our
most indelicate hours, a penetration of light within is the key to survival.
This light can take on many forms. From the grace of faith, to the reality
of hope and experience, the polarities are experienced in ways both
subtle and explosive. It is also through humor and satire that we survive
as individuals and as a species in general! To interject it in unexpected
ways and moments is to bring the soul far away from the conflict that
it experiences; the conflict is seen to be only ephemeral substance,
rather than taking the concrete dense value we mistakenly assign to
it. This exhibition is comprised of artists who have delegated their
senses to digging up and exposing the hidden light blanketed by and
emerging from darkness.
